The New Trim Options

The 2025 edition of the Maverick comes in five well-packaged trims. You can choose from the unique XL, XLT, Lobo, Lariat, and Tremor trims. This is a major change from the XL, XLT, and Lariat trims offered in 2024.

The new Lobo trim is focused on performance. It is equipped with a seven-speed quick-shift transmission with paddle shifters, performance-tuned suspension, and a torque vectoring twin-clutch rear drive unit. If you love off-roading, you’ll want to look at the top-tier Tremor trim. This variant adds off-road tuned suspension, skid plates, and advanced 4×4.

The Impressive Powertrains

The entry-level XL trim comes standard with a 2.5-liter hybrid powertrain with front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is available. A continuously variable transmission is standard. This fuel-efficient system delivers an EPA-estimated city-fuel economy rating of 40 MPG for the pickup. You’ll go far with the standard 13.8-gallon gas tank.

There is also an available 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine. This option has all-wheel drive and a larger 16.5-gallon gas tank.

The Useful Truck Bed

Ford has equipped their small pickup with a versatile bed ready to help you haul some bikes on your weekend adventures or enough mulch to take proper care of your yard. The bed measures 53.3 inches wide between the sidewalls and 42.6 inches wide at the wheelhouse. It is 54.4 inches long. This provides you with a volume of 33.3 cubic feet when the multi-position tailgate is locked in its full upright position.

The bed comes standard with six tie-downs that double as bottle openers. Four more tie-downs are available. Other available features include LED box lighting, spray-in bedliner, and cubby storage on the passenger side.

The Large New Touchscreen

In 2024, the Maverick came with an excellent eight-inch touchscreen. Ford has leveled things up for 2025 with a beautiful 13.2-inch LCD. The system comes with Ford’s user-friendly SYNC 4 system. You’ll also have Bluetooth for streaming your favorite songs over your six-speaker sound system. An available B&O sound system offers the Maverick an audio upgrade with eight speakers and a subwoofer.

The Advanced Safety Monitoring Tech

Pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking helps drivers hit the road with confidence. You can also add exciting new available features like blind spot information system. This technology is paired with cross-traffic alert.
